In its wake The Mighty Peace has shaped a wonder-filled river-valley. Often so beautifully wide and deep, eyes cannot capture kilometers away detail on its far side. Beyond the Peace Valley, a legacy of rich soils, ground together by the last ice age, nurture North America’s northernmost agricultural land and boreal forests that stretch, seemingly without end, into the Northwest Territories.
Here, unspoiled, lie wonderful networks of clear, clean lakes and rivers. Campers, hikers and canoeists can expect a true wilderness adventure, there are virtually no developed trails in the back country. But while guides are available, canoe rentals are limited, so it’s best to bring your own.
