and 90 km north of Grande Prairie on Highway 2. To enter the municipality from the south, you will cross the mighty Peace River on the Dunvegan Bridge, the longest gravity-anchored suspension bridge in Alberta. Crossing the “Gateway to the North” will bring you to the Historic Dunvegan Park and Interpretive Centre. Historical movies, artifacts and interpreters in period costumes can guide you through the various log buildings. Within the park, there are 67 RV and tenting sites with full service hook-ups. Or visit the beautiful Maples Park to the west of the bridge for a family picnic.
