La Crete Ferry

The La Crete, or Thompkins Landing, Ferry crosses the Peace River just south of La Crete on Highway 697.  The self propelled ferry can carry

several vehicles at once, including large trucks and RV’s.  The Ferry operates from May until mid October.  When the River freezes a man made ice bridge is formed.
