The Baytex Energy Centre is the premiere recreation facility in the Peace River Region offering a wide variety of sports and fitness options. An indoor fieldhouse and running track offers year-round access to field sports, there is also an ice rink, indoor children’s playground, fitness centre, concession stand, and community rooms.

An outdoor game of shinny is a great way to enjoy a sunny winter day. This is a free, first come first serve rink for all ages to enjoy. Check out the Mainway Electrical outdoor rink in Grimshaw, located on the north side of the Mile Zero Regional Multiplex at 4609 50thStreet in the Town of Grimshaw.

The Manning Sports Centre Arena is a busy place all winter. Hockey, figure skating and family skate times keep this facility alive with winter fun. There is lots of great seating surrounding the ice surface for fans to cheeron their favorite skaters! More winter fun can be found in the attached curling rink. After a day of skating or curling relax and grab a snack in the upstairs concession which also looks down of the ice surface. Enjoy a sunny Peace Country day on the outdoor rinkwhich can be found right beside this arena. This well-lit ice surface can be enjoyed well into the evening. Whether it’s a game of shinny, some relaxed gliding or a child’s first experience on skates, this is the perfect spot. Skaters can enjoy the ice well into the evening as this surface is very well lit. This rink is located right beside the Manning Sports Centre Arena.
