This is an open skatepark with some fun features to keep skaters entertained for hours. Located at 47th Avenue in the Town of Grimshaw.

Bring a picnic and enjoy a day of activity on the play equipment as well as the beautiful views of the Peace River Valley. Camp shelters, water and outhouses are available. A great day of fun is in store for visitors to the Spray Park and playground. Bring a swim suit, towel and a picnic. After an awesome play on the Little Tikes play equipment, cool off in the spray park. Re-energize with a snack and do it all over again.

Figure Eight Lake Provincial Recreation Area is located 40 kilometers northwest of Peace River on Highway 737 in the County of Northern Lights. Figure Eight Lake takes its name from the shape it had before 1970 when the water level was low, in these earlier days the lake had two basins and resembled a figure eight.

The area offers a beautiful, rustic, family friendly, lakeshore campground which has many activities to offer. During your stay you can fish, boat, wind surf, canoe or just enjoy the beautiful lake view! Visitors can also enjoy a hike on forested hiking trails around the lake and you may see one of the multitude of birds and other wildlife that inhabit this area! An easy-access hand launch allows you to get your electric-powered boat on the water to find the best fishing spots, or you can fish from the seawall. Visitors may access the lakeshore by a handy paved foot path. OHV trails can be accessed nearby for hours of family fun! After a day of making memories, get ready to relax and enjoy your evening at one of 27 beautifully forested campsites which can accommodate RVs or tents.

Winter activities can be enjoyed here as well with 5kms of ungroomed cross country ski trails and ice fishing available.

Harmon Valley Park offers an incredible night sky with virtually no light pollution. If you are a star gazer this is an amazing campground with the possibility of experiencing the northern lights. This campground features 17 unserviced campsites, free fire wood, pump water, pit toilets, hiking trails, children’s playground, picnic shelter, cook shack, and horseshoe pits. This campground offers a fully treed setting offering privacy for your vacation. Don’t worry about breaking the bank because this beautiful campground is only $10/night.

What an awesome place for families to enjoy some play time. This camping area along side the Peace River offers a great playground as well as areas for picnics, fishing and plenty of space to run and enjoy some down time. Lots of trees, open space and fresh air are ready for visitors to enjoy at the Kinsmen Funland Playground. The Blue Imp play equipment was installed in 2013 on a protective surface of pea graveland offers a variety of play choices for kids ages 2 to 12 years.

Lake views can be enjoyed by all visitors to this campground tucked into the tree line along the shore of Lac Cardinal. Water enthusiasts can enjoy swimming, windsurfing, paddle boarding, canoeing and kayaking. Boaters can use the boat launch to gain access to the lake, so water skiing, tubing and sailing are fun options!

Visitors can play some beach volleyball, horseshoes or just relax on the beach. Over 140 species of birds and other wildlife have been spotted here so keep your eyes open while hiking and mountain biking on the shore line and forest trails! After a day of enjoying all these activities, kick back and relax in one of 56 camp sites available. 42 of these sites offer power and all offer fire pits and picnic tables. To make your stay more convenient potable water, washrooms and a dump station are available on site.

Don’t forget! There’s no better way to enjoy a sparkling winter day than snowshoeing or cross country skiing the 4.5km of ungroomed trails in the park!

This park has a very convenient location only 5 km north west of Grimshaw on Township Road 834/833A. The Lac Cardinal Rodeo Grounds and Pioneer Village Museum are adjacent to the park and within walking distance.

There is a cluster of four diamonds that offer a great space for tournaments, with easy highway access and amenities nearby. The diamonds are impeccably maintained with lush grass.
