Special places.
One of the absolute joys of being an artist is channeling that craft into honoring special moments and special places. Before I had kids, I`d pull up photos of the mountains and try to bring them to my page. Landscapes were never my forte, but my skill level was never quite there yet. These days, 10 years into being a parent, a lot of my special moments revolve around family holidays and cherished memories. Taking my family to the Lac Cardinal Pioneer Village Museum has been a lovely experience since my children were small. They`ve always loved it, and I`ve been lucky to watch them experience it. Now, more often then not, I spend their iconic Pioneer Day celebration in the summers as a vendor, which is a magical experience on it`s own. But my kids flit in and out of my booth with their friends carrying various treasures, snacks and stories.
This is one of our special places, for sure.
