Rendez Vous RV Park – Northern Sunrise County
Pack up your camping gear and head out to the Rendez-Vous RV Park located on Peace River’s east hill. Their new facilities include a laundromat, convenience store, restrooms, and showers. In addition, they have 109 full hook-up spaces, wifi, firewood, a playground, pond, fishing, horseshoes, and even have a bounce pillow that is sure to keep the kids entertained.
Kimiwan Municipal Campground – Town of McLennan
Conveniently located within town limits, the Kimiwan Campground is an excellent choice for your next camping adventure. Relax at your campsite, explore the Town of McLennan, or take a walk over to the Kimiwan Lake Bird Walk and Interpretive Centre. They offer 18 serviced and non-serviced sites, free firewood, a day-use area, a playground and a wooden train play center for the kids.
Queen Elizabeth Provincial Park – MD of Peace
This stunning camping area is situated in a lush, forested area beside Lac Cardinal Lake -a favourite for both locals and travellers. They have 56 serviced and non-serviced campsites, fire pits, picnic tables, playground, shelter, horseshoes, and day-use area. So have a game of volleyball, play on the beach or head out on the lake in your motorboat, canoe, paddleboard, kayak or your water inflatable – there’s something for everyone here.
Haig Lake Campground – Woodland Cree First Nation
If you are looking for a place to camp with some great fishing look no further. Haig Lake is a popular fishing and camping destination for locals and travelers. They have eight unserviced campsites, fire pits, picnic tables, hiking trails and open spaces for quadding. Bring your boat and enjoy a peaceful day on the lake, take a hike in the forest or relax at your campsite.
Leddy Lake Campground – County of Northern Lights
The Leddy Lake Campground offers a family-friendly camping experience with lots to see, do, and learn. They have interpretive trails, a ton of birds (you’ll spot pelicans and swans here), and most of their camping stalls are surrounded by lush trees that provide extra privacy. There’s no fishing, but tons of fun to be had swimming, floating, boating, playing horseshoes or gathering with friends and family in the kitchen shelter.
Dunvegan Provincial Park – MD of Fairview
Nestled along the banks of the Peace River valley, this provincial park provides a beautiful place to camp with tons of options for activities. Try some river fishing, go for a canoe ride, hike along the gorgeous trails, explore the historic site, have ice cream, or go shopping at the Dunvegan Gardens just down the road. They have 65 powered sites, a playground, firewood, and outdoor toilets.
Mill Brown Park – Village of Nampa
If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing camping experience, this gem of a campground is a great choice. Located in the Village of Nampa, just a hop, skip and a jump away from the museum and Farmers Restaurant. Mill Brown Park has six paved stalls with power hook-ups, a playground, a tennis court and hiking trails to the Heart River.
Running Lake – Clear Hills County
This quiet campground has well-treed sites close to the lake and provides a peaceful atmosphere for your next camping trip. Be sure to bring your fishing rod – there are lots of Rainbow Trout and Brook Trout to be caught from the pier or in your non-motorized boat. Located northeast of Worsley, Runing lake offers 20 campsites, firepits, picnic tables, outdoor toilets, a fish cleaning shelter and a picnic shelter.
