Honey Capital Park

Check out the Honey Capital Park in Falher – you won’t BEE disappointed. There’s a ton of space for the kids to build snowmen, buzz around and play. They have a four-story beehive structure with a 27-foot slide and a toddler park. Located just off Mainstreet next door to the Falher Regional Recreation Complex.

World’s Largest Bee

The day would not be complete without a visit to the World’s Largest Bee, located in downtown Falher. This stunning structure, which sits 20 feet in the air, was created by Richard Ethier, a local welder, in 1990. Be sure to take a selfie with the giant bee, relax on one of the park benches and learn about the rich history of the community of Falher through historical information displayed on-site at Bee Park.

Winter Walk/ Snowshoe Trail at the Falher Municipal Campground

This cozy and picturesque campground area is a beautiful place to spend some time on a winter day. Conveniently located on highway 49 coming into town, the campground has a ton of space to enjoy the magic of winter. So take a snowshoe or a walk down the hiking trail, or pack a picnic and enjoy a winter campfire – they have free firewood and a cooking shelter on site.

Tobogganing at the Falher Friendship Hill Park

There’s nothing like the thrill of speeding down the toboggan hill on a nice winter day. So grab your tubes, sleds or crazy carpets and follow the sounds of laughter to Falher’s local sliding hill, where family and friends gather for fresh air, fun and exercise. Located at 5th avenue SW in Falher.

On the Ice

Skating and Shinny
Lace-up your skates and head over to the Falher Regional Recreation Complex! They have a wonderful facility for skating, to play a game of shinny with friends, and to cheer on a local hockey team. You may be able to catch North Peace Hockey League Game – Falher is home to the Falher Pirates men’s team. Check their schedule for shinny and skating throughout the week.

Curling
Learn to curl on Friday nights in Falher! They offer a Friday night drop-in open to all levels for $5 per person at 7 pm (doors open at 6:45). Don’t have equipment? No problem. The Curling Club has extra brooms and sliders, just bring a clean pair of indoor shoes. Play a game, practice or come and learn from a club member.
