Leddy Lake is a quiet and peaceful camping area located 24km northwest of Peace River on Highway 743, near Weberville. Campers can expect very private sites with lots of fire wood available. Electrical hookups, kitchen shelters and water are available to campers. Launch your boat and enjoy beautiful sunsets and viewing the many birds and animals living in the area. While there is no fishing, visitors can enjoy horseshoes, hiking, canoeing and kayaking. Families visiting here can enjoy a great park for kids as well as a nice sandy area for hours of entertainment.
In the winter the fun doesn’t stop. Enjoy a sparkling and crisp winter’s day on a sled trail that starts with a scenic loop at Leddy Lake and runs 40km north to the area of Driftwood Lake near Deadwood.

Peace River’s central park, situated next to the idyllic Peace River and quaint downtown.
Riverfront Park offers a number of opportunities year-round. During the summer it is a busy place with events taking place, a large gazebo and access to power help to make this a great cornerstone of outdoor community events. There’s also a walking path, picnic tables, boat launch access, fishing and, a playground for children and each Canada Day the park hosts the Town’s celebrations and fireworks. In the winter the parks stays vibrant with over 1000 Christmas lights. Each year in November a celebration, Light Up the Park, is held to celebrate the lighting of the park, it features skating, hot chocolate, food, and fireworks. The Town of Peace River also maintains a rink in the park through the winter making for some great outdoor skating.

Boaters can access the beautiful Peace River at this location on the well -maintained gravel launch. The Strong Creek Park boat launch and the Town of Peace River can be found down stream from this location. Head up the river and you will find the Peace Valley Guest Ranch and Peace River Cabins and Outdoors who welcome guests to stay at their riverside resorts. Explore a bit further up the river and you will see the Elk Island camping area, continue on to experience the awe-inspiring sight of the Dunvegan Bridge. Camping is available in the Shaftsbury area just across the river at Tangent Park.
