Summer
Just imagine watching an ever changing landscape unfold in front of your eyes as you ascend to the top of Judah Hill, to one of the region’s most treasured lookout points - Sagitawa Lookout. In Cree, Sagitawa means “where rivers meet.” Here, you will find the Hart, Peace and Smoky rivers join. The view is spectacular in the spring when the wildflowers and the green hues from the hills emerge. And in the fall, you can expect a vast and stunning tapestry of coloured hills that will almost take your breath away. In the day-use area, you will find historical information, picnic tables, and unlimited options for stunning photo backdrops with family and friends.
Winter
There is something so peaceful about seeing the Peace River valley in a white blanket of snow, and Judah Hill has spectacular views and is an accessible way to get a clear view of the stunning winter valley views. On sunny days it looks like millions of diamonds blanketing the valley, and there is such a soulful feel to the valley on foggy and cloudy days. So bring your snowshoes and take a tour around. There is so much beauty to see up Judah Hill in the winter.
