June 1-2, 2024

Organized by Peace River Aboriginal Interagency Committee (PRAIC)

Are you ready for an unforgettable celebration of Indigenous culture? Then mark your calendar, because the Peace River Pow Wow is the event you won’t want to miss!

Get ready to immerse yourself in a two-day cultural showcase filled with incredible dancing and drumming at the Peace River Agricultural Grounds on June 1 and 2, 2024.

The Pow Wow kicks off both days with Grand Entry at 1:00 p.m., followed by traditional dances and songs performed by talented competitors. Be sure to catch the fiddling & jigging contest, and don’t miss out on the heart-pumping hand game competition. But don’t just watch—get involved in the intertribal dances and feel the rhythm for yourself!

And what’s a Pow Wow without food? Satisfy your cravings with bannock and other scrumptious traditional (and neo-traditional) treats. Plus, check out the wide variety of vendors and take home some unique authentic handmade goods created by Indigenous Artist Vendors.

Everyone is welcome, so come out for an afternoon of excitement, entertainment, and cultural immersion and prepare to be captivated by the beauty and power of Indigenous culture. (But please leave your furry friends at home.)

Join the celebration at the Peace River Pow Wow—you won’t regret it!

Hosted by the Peace River Aboriginal Interagency Committee. In case of rain, the event will move to the Baytex Centre in Peace River.
