After a five-year hiatus, multisport is making an exciting return to the Mighty Peace Region! The beloved Peace River TriRiver Triathlon is back—bringing together community spirit, scenic landscapes, and the thrill of competition in one unforgettable event.

Set against the stunning backdrop of the Peace River, this event invites athletes of all levels to swim, bike, and run their way through one of Northern Alberta’s most unique destinations. Whether you're chasing a personal best or trying triathlon for the very first time, this welcoming and family-friendly event is designed for everyone.

About Triathlon
Triathlon, developed in the 1970s and introduced to the Olympic Games in 2000, combines three disciplines—swimming, cycling, and running—into one continuous race. Distances range from beginner-friendly Try-a-Tris and Sprint races to Olympic and long-distance endurance events.

Kids of Steel Program
The Kids of Steel race is a fantastic way to introduce young athletes to the world of triathlon. By participating in swimming, biking, and running, kids build confidence, improve overall fitness, and develop well-rounded athletic skills.

• Parents may assist children under 5 throughout the course
• Transition support is allowed for ages 6–9
• Flotation aids (life jackets, flutter boards) are encouraged for young swimmers
