Misery Mountain Ski Hill is a winter gem in one of the sunniest spots in the Mighty Peace, drawing visitors from near and far to enjoy the best downhill adventures and incredible views of the Peace River Valley. Boasting northern Alberta’s highest vertical descent, Misery Mountain is the region’s ultimate outdoor playground with 26 runs, snowshoe trails, a terrain park, two t-bars, and a quad chairlift. With a powerful snowmaking system to keep the slopes pristine, it’s the perfect spot for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. Open Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., Misery Mountain offers a family-friendly atmosphere with a cozy chalet where you can warm up and savor their must-try Canadian poutine. Manning Ski Hill
The Manning Ski Hill, powered by dedicated volunteers, is the perfect winter escape for all ages and skill levels. Open Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the hill now offers thrilling night skiing and snowboarding under lights on Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. With five scenic runs and a convenient t-bar lift, this hill is a favorite among locals and visitors alike, offering some of the best views in the area. Whether you're just starting out or you're an experienced skier or snowboarder, the Manning Ski Hill has something to offer everyone. While there are no lessons offered, you can still take your time on the slopes and get in as much practice as you would like. To recharge after a day carving through the powder, you can take a break and warm up in the cozy chalet with pre-packaged snacks until you’re ready to go again.
