1. Wintery Walks
The McLennan Lakeshore Walking Trails bordering Lake Kimiwan offer a beautiful backdrop for a peaceful winter walk. Even though the migratory birds have left for the winter, many interesting wildlife are still to be observed. A portion of the trail is kept clear during the winter months and can be accessed from the Manoir du Lack or just down from Centre street.
2. Ice Fishing
You don’t have to go far to enjoy your next ice fishing experience. Located conveniently within town limits, the Kimiwan Lake municipal Campground pond is a great place to drop your hook in the icy waters. Afterwards, warm up with a wintery campfire at the campground fire pit.
3. Tobogganing and Tubing
There’s nothing like the thrill of speeding down the toboggan hill on a nice winter day. So grab your tubes, sleds or crazy carpets and follow the sounds of laughter to McLennan’s local sliding hill, where family and friends gather for fresh air, fun and exercise. Located a the corner of 2nd street and 5th avenue in McLennan.
4. Skating
Strap on your skates and enjoy an authentic Canadian skating experience on McLennan’s beautiful natural outdoor pond. Located straight down from Centre Street by the covered bridge.

Discover all The McLennan Municipal Library has to offer by spending a cold day snuggled up with a good book in their warm and cozy library. The library also offers three public computers with free wireless access. Open from 1 – 5 pm Monday to Friday. Located on 1st ave NW McLennan.
