The jingles of bells on dancers’ dresses echo the land, the sounds of drums resonates through your body and the smell of burning sweetgrass coats the air; this is the 16th Annual Pow Wow and 24th Annual Aboriginal Gathering on the banks of the Peace River. Come immerse yourself in Indigenous culture. Entertainment includes competitive dance & drum competition, inter-tribal dance, hand drum singing contest, hand games, Metis jigging & fiddling and more. A free feast of stew and bannock will be served Saturday evening. Tables, indigenous crafts and children’s crafts will also be on display all weekend.
