What can visitors expect when they visit your shop?
A Warm, inviting atmosphere as well as friendly and knowledgeable staff. It may seem overwhelming at first, so we recommend to our customers to take their time and do a couple of laps around the store…enjoy their time and just let us know if they need any help.
What type of products are sold at your shop?
We are well known for our Stars, Hooded Blankets, APC chalk paint line, IOD, unique hardware, decorative knobs as well as drawer pulls and handles. We also sell window treatments, rugs, placemats, dishtowels, bath towels and everyday home decor. My self-love products are also popular, these contain skin care products to pamper yourself, similar to a spa experience, in the comfort of your own home. I also have a section in the store with giftware for loved ones that have passed away that people may like to put out at a grave site or just a keepsake in memory of a loved one. We are also a seasonal store so we frequently switch out our decor for each special occasion. For example, Mother’s Day, wedding season, Fall, and of course Christmas! I also support many local, home-based businesses and have available to purchase in my store products from Tree’s & Lilly’s, Deer Meadows Soap and Callista Faye Creative to name a few. We have such a large selection of great experiences, services, giftware and other items, we really have something for everyone! We offer items for ladies, teens, and babies and we even have a “man cave” section.
What makes your shop different from other retailers in the Mighty Peace?
I would have to say my large workshop space. I really enjoy hosting workshops and teaching people how to make wooden projects using my chalk paint as well as teaching how to use my IOD line and Sola Wood Flowers to name a few. I also utilize my space by hosting Pop Up Markets throughout the year, helping support local home-based businesses.
What are some of the most popular products and services that you provide?
We have one of the largest selections in the northwest of home décor metal stars in a multitude of sizes and colors for use inside and out. If customers can’t make it to my workshops, I have DIY Kits made up for a variety of projects, these are ready to take home and make into something beautiful! These make really great gifts as well.
Do you offer any specialty items and services to visitors?
My workshops are perfect for businesses to provide team-building experiences for their staff. They also make great get-togethers to celebrate any occasion. Anyone can come and make something beautiful and have a great visit at the same time. Private parties can be planned and if customers have a group wishing to run a workshop in another location, I am also willing to travel to them. Custom orders for wooden projects or signs are also available.
What is your favourite memory at your shop?
There are so many to choose from but by most memorable would be a birthday surprise … one year, my sisters, older kids and close friends decorated my store in a Hawaiian theme in the evening. When I went in to work the day of my birthday, they welcomed me with plenty of surprises which carried on throughout the day! It was so nice to see loyal customers stopping in to help celebrate with me.

I look forward to hosting more workshops!
What word describes your business the best?
I think of my store as a Hidden lil’ Gem but as most of my customers refer to me….I am the country store in Grimshaw!!!!
