Step back into historic Fairview and visit the Fairview Pioneer Museum!  This ten acre site, 1km North of Fairview on secondary highway 732 at the Cummings Lake Rec Area, is designed to be just like visiting a typical pioneer village.  There is a restored school house, a house, a cabin as well as other historical commercial buildings available for visitors to view.  Admission is free, donations accepted.

This museum is open May through August, Tuesday to Saturday.

Cool off and have fun on warm summer days at the Fairview Splash Park!  Featuring several fun and exciting water features, kids of all ages will have hours of entertainment.  Located beside the Skate Park and across from the Bowling Alley, this is an awesome community area to be active and have fun with the whole family! There is also lots of wide open space for picnics and free play!

The Fairview Skate Park offers an outdoor community space for recreational activity.   This awesome space encourages youth to be outside and engage in physical activity. The park offers various features for skate and BMX play as well as lots of wide open space for picnics and free play!

Located at the west end of 108th Avenue in the Town of Fairview, this playground is located in an open grassy area near a small pond, perfect for a picnic. Kids will enjoy a variety of play equipment.

It’s always a bright and happy day at Grow North Gardens. This unique family-owned business in the Heart of the Peace offers much more than traditional bedding plants. In addition to carrying a massive variety of bedding plants, vegetables, house plants, trees and shrubs in the spring, this gorgeous flower farm is home to 90 unique types of fresh flowers for a flower subscription service available from June to September. Imagine fresh bouquets with snapdragons, peonies, lilies, gladiolas, dahlias, eucalyptus, delphiniums, double tulips and lupins – to name a few. If you love sunflowers, this farm is a must – they have a ton of different varieties and colours that will bring warmth to your home and heart.

Visitors can also experience the colors and fragrance of the flower farm by getting their “feet in the dirt” and literally picking the flowers from Grow North Gardens land for their bouquet. Want to learn how to make a decorative planter? Watch for their spring planter workshops, and during the Christmas season, you can sign up for a workshop to make wreaths, planters, door swag and centrepieces. Plus, kids love it here – in the spring season, they keep the bubble machine ready and the water table full for the smallest gardeners to enjoy. They also host an Easter Egg hunt and DIY stations. Are you having an event or a wedding? Grow North Gardens also provides fresh flowers for different events.

The family business started in 2017 by selling bouquets and plants at the Grande Prairie Farmers Market but quickly grew after they caught the bug for this fulfilling career. In 2018 they built a 6000 square feet greenhouse to grow flowers and vegetables.

Take the east entrance into Fairview, head north and drive to 108 avenue. Turn right (or east) down a gravel road for 1 km and watch for signage. Grow North Farms is on the left.

This playground is located south of 107th Avenue on the east side of the Town of Fairview. An exciting variety of play equipment is located here next to an open grassy area. Picnic tables are available for snacks and picnic lunches!

Revitalized has been in business for seven years and expanded to a bigger building located on Mainstreet in Fairview in 2018.

This playground is next to ball diamonds, Cummings Lake as well as the Cummings Lake Walking trails. Stop for a play on the play equipment and set up a picnic on the camp tables provided. The Cummings Lake campground is also near by, campers can enjoy the park during their stay. The Cummings Lake area is found on the north side of the Town of Fairview.

This wonderful coffee shop is more than your regular coffee shop, the Old Bisto is a cherished local gem. Here you’ll find coffee lovers enjoying a yummy warm drink, people visiting, working, or having a formal meeting in one of their three different gathering areas. In addition to being a cozy and welcoming place to hang out, the Old Bistro has a ton of unique handcrafted items curated by local artisans. There are some stunning pottery, woodworking, and leather items, as well as paintings and various products from Misty Meadows Natural Soap and Apothecary. They also offer baked goods daily, all served up with a smile. While you’re there, try the caramel macchiato, a local favorite, peppermint, lavender, gingerbread, floral-inspired tea, or lemonade when in season – they are all beyond amazing. Hemstock Park is found downtown on the corner of 110th Street and 103rd Avenue in the Town of Fairview. Families and kids can enjoy this easily accessible park as well as the free wifi and picnic tables all in a picturesque downtown setting.

The Kin Park is located on the corner of 106th Avenueand 111th Street in the Town of Fairview. Visitors will find some fun play equipment and picnic tables on which they can enjoy a snack. Watch for wildlife that is often spotted near the trail!  There are horse shoe pits and a play ground available for visitors as well.  During your stay take a stroll over to the Fairview Pioneer Museum that is adjacent to the campground and learn about the early settlers of the area.   The area also features ball diamonds and soccer fields.  After a busy day of fun, relax around a cozy campfire and enjoy a spectacular Peace Country sunset!

Winter Cross Country Skiing:

The trailhead can be reached by following a lane north from the intersection of 108 Ave and 108 St. This short lane leads to a parking lot.  From the parking lot users pass through a pass through opening in the fence, across the plowed paved walking path to find the cross country ski trail a few metres away.

The Fairview Fine Arts Centre is a little gem in the Heart of the Peace. With art shows, classes (weaving, photography, painting, quilting, and more) and various events throughout the year, you will want to keep an eye on what’s happening at the Fairview Art’s Centre! A Bit About Our History
The Fairview Fine Arts Centre started out as the “Craft Centre” in the mid-sixties. Ladies met at the old E.E. Oliver School to work on weaving, pottery, jewellery making, copper enameling and various crafts. Due to a fire in the building, the members had to relocate to the Provincial Building for a brief period. The group formed and registered as a society in 1979 and began planning to build their own centre. The Fine Arts Centre, at its present location, opened in the fall of 1981.

Dive right in and enjoy your day at the Fairview Regional Aquatic Centre!  This is an awesome facility offering a five lane, 25-metre lap pool and a zero-depth wading pool. The pools have multiple water features including river jets and fountain canes. All ages will enjoy the 150-foot water slide – the biggest in the Peace Country, the tarzan rope, the skywalker hanging monkey bar climber and the rock-climbing wall. Warm up and relax in the 20-person hot tub with wheelchair access ramp.

Aquatic programs are available for all levels of swimmer; from adult lane swim, to swim lessons for ages 3 months and up, to seniors aqua-size classes. The staff are professional and friendly and are ready to help you have a great experience!

Located on the GPRC campus, off highway #2. This facility is easy to access, has something to offer for everyone and is open year- round.
