“The Peace Region is a piece of heaven that’s decorated with brilliant color. You will enjoy golden yellow canola fields or rich black cultivated fields that kiss the clear blue sky. One my favorite drives in the world is highway 2 heading north from Grande Prairie to my home town of Fairview. Hugging the road are open fields, lush green rolling hills, spectacular fall colors and in the heart of the trek, the historic Dunvegan suspension bridge. It spans the mighty Peace River and leads to a spectacular historic site that you can call home for a few nights. A beautiful campground is situated at the base of the river and that waterfront property is yours to enjoy! Spend a night under the stars, breath in the fresh air, soak up the history, enjoy the tastes and ambience of the market gardens. My memories are filled with visits to magical Dunvegan. It’s yours to enjoy. Take a road trip. It might be your first to the region but it won’t be your last!”
