The Green Goddess Studio – a place to gather, learn, create and connect

Sarah Keates, mother to Rayne, Bodhi and Saje, and wife to Paul (aka. Mr. Green Goddess) is passionate about sharing information about safe bath and beauty products for adults and children. As the owner and founder of The Green Goddess, she is pursuing her passion while on a lifelong quest to empower women with knowledge of the vast medicinal benefits of herbs and plants.

At the helm of The Green Goddess, Sarah is the curator of organic, nourishing, luxurious and ethical skincare products, essential oils, personal hygiene products, teas, and handcrafted soaps. All products are ethically sourced, plant-based, and some ingredients are harvested and wildcrafted right here in the Peace Country by Sarah herself.

Not only does Sarah create high-quality, ethical products, but she also empowers women by teaching them about the medicinal properties of different herbs by hosting workshops at her studio and in the region where women create and leave with their own creations and priceless knowledge.

“Since becoming an herbalist, my workshop offerings have expanded,” says Sarah. “Once upon a time, I used to teach solely how to make handcrafted skincare items, but now I also offer workshops on herbalism (like making medicines, teas, and tinctures). For example, I recently hosted a workshop where I taught women how to make an immune-boosting and antiviral Elderberry Syrup for cold and flu season, as well as Elderberry Gummie Bears. I am offering more diverse workshops than ever, and I love it!”

What you can expect from a winter workshop at The Green Goddess Studio
The sparkling white landscape and snow-capped trees make for a beautiful scenic drive out to the Green Goddess Studio, located 20 minutes south of Peace River down South Harmon Valley Road. As you arrive on the property, day or night, the peaceful, warm glow from the brightly lit kitchen of The Green Goddess Studio is a lighthouse that signals a safe arrival and a feeling of ease.

You can expect to feel like you are wrapped in a hug as the whole family works together with care to create a memorable experience for guests. As women begin to arrive, they are often greeted outside by excited children who take their jobs of chauffeuring guests to the studio doors seriously adorable.

When guests walk through the doors, guests are wowed by the surroundings of this stunningly gorgeous studio that looks like it came straight from a Pinterest Board. But beyond the initial beauty is where the magic really happens; the space is warm and welcoming, designed in such a way as to promote community by allowing women to gather around a large kitchen island to converse and create together.

Public and private workshops with up to a dozen participants can be accommodated, and they commonly host events for a group of girlfriends, work colleagues, or family members, booking a fun “Ladies Night Out” or team-building activities. Participants are also welcome to bring snacks and drinks to make it an extra special gathering.

“As the workshop ends, I know I have fulfilled my purpose when guests leave wearing wide smiles, having made connections and conversations and feeling inspired from a day of learning a new skill or craft; their hands filled with heartfelt creations,” says Sarah.
