The Carter’s Camp boat launch is one of two camping areas in the Carter’s Camp site. The Montagneuse River empties into the Peace River between these two camping areas adding an interesting area for exploration by foot. The well gravelled boat launch at the down river camping area, offers access to the Peace River between the Many Islands boat launch and the Pratt’s Landing boat launch. Weary waterway explorers can find shelter here, the campground is well equipped with a camp kitchen, outhouses, fire pits, picnic tables and a playground. This is a beautiful and interesting area of the Peace River Valley, be sure to add it to your bucket list. Carters Camp can be found 25km west of Hines Creek on highway 685.

A truly beautiful area for families to enjoy some fun activities. There are two camping areas, the boat launch area and the main camping area ,both have great playgrounds. Each area is situated right beside the mighty Peace River. These parks offer some great play equipment including swings. Bring a picnic and a fishing rod to round out the day’s experience. Plenty of space for active fun. Lucky visitors may see some of the wildlife that frequent this area. Carters Camp can be found 25km west of Hines Creek on highway 685. Some of the most stunning scenery on the planet can be seen from the top of the Peace River Banks.   An excellent example of this is the Carters Camp area.  As visitors descend down into the river valley, they can enjoy the views of the river below and the hills around them.  Arriving into the Carters Camp area which is located adjacent the river, visitors will most likely stop and admire the view before them!  There are two separate camping areas here.  The boat launch area is just before the main camping area. Both campgrounds are well equipped with camp kitchens, outhouses, fire pits, picnic tables and playgrounds.  Try your luck at a game of horseshoes and when you’re ready to relax, there’s lots of fire wood available for a long enjoyable campfire in the evening! Many of the campsites offer a river view that will take your breath away.   The Carters Camp campground area is where the Montagneuse River empties into the Peace River.  This makes for many interesting areas to hike and explore.  Campers can enjoy playing in the water and also try their hand at fishing!  Keep your eyes open for wildlife along the river and high on the banks.  

This area is named for Art and Anna Carter who were pioneers of the area and settled near the mouth of the Montagneuse River in 1917.  A monument to this adventurous couple can be seen along the road into the campsite.

Looking for the ideal setting to kick back and relax?   Try the Clear River Campground!  The campground is tucked in alongside the beautiful Clear River, just 13km Southwest of the Cleardale Store on highway 64.  Enjoy the serenity of the area in one of the river side sites that offer picnic tables, firepits and firewood all for $12 per night.  Self registration available.  Explore the river on a hike and watch for the abundant wildlife that call this area home. 

The Clear River Rodeo grounds are adjacent to the campground, making it the perfect spot to stay while enjoying the Heavy Horse Days event that is held here annually.

This campground’s play area is great place for kids to explore and stretch their legs. Tucked alongside the beautiful Clear River, kids can find a great selection of play equipment as well as trails to explore. Round out a day of active fun by roasting a hot dog over an open fire. Take some time to enjoy the wild beauty of the Clear Hills area.  Exploring this vast region will take some time!  The Cleardale Campground offers explorers a cozy spot to set up camp.  Just 1km East of the Cleardale Store, the campground offers powered sites for $25 per night or unpowered for $12 per night.  Picnic tables, firepits and firewood available for visitors to enjoy during their stay. No camping gear? No problem!  Tents can be rented here!  There is also a playground to entertain younger campers.   

The Clearfest Music Festival is held here annually, making this the perfect spot to settle in to enjoy the music!

Available for rent year-round, the Eureka River Community Hall and grounds are ideal for any type or size of event. The hall boasts a kitchen and bar area perfect any type of event. Whether you’re looking to book a celebration, family gathering, musical event, or even a rodeo, this venue has affordable rental rates that allows locals and out of towners to access it seven days a week. Inside the hall you will find tables and chairs to rent, a stage to use, and plenty of room to accommodate your guests. 

Owned by the Eureka River Agricultural Society, this large and spacious hall often hosts community events such as bingo, exercise classes, workshops, seminars, dances and so much more. 

Unserviced camping is available with fire pits and tables. With access to a new playground, horseshoe pits and a ball diamond.

Launch your boat, canoe, kayak or paddle board into George Lake and get ready for a sun filled, water cooled day of fun with friends. Boats can be launched at the gravel launch located just before the campground area. There is also a dock for hand launching of lighter craft. The campground offers electrical hookups, outhouses, showers and a kitchen shelter for use by visitors. Take a break from the water and try out the playground, horseshoe pits and hiking trails. George Lake Music Festival takes place here each year. This event attracts many visitors who enjoy a weekend of camping and great live music. George Lake is a quick 4.5km drive South of Hines Creek on highway 64.

This playground is near the beach area of beautiful George Lake campground. Some great play equipment is in place to entertain young visitors for hours. The lake offers many activities that kids will love. The entire family can enjoy a hike and a picnic here as well. A gorgeous Peace Country sunset seen across the lake will end the day with a smile. This area, upriver from the Carter’s Camp boat launch, offers some stunning scenery of the river valley and the wildlife that call the area home. The Many Islands Music Festival is held here every summer.  A great weekend of music, dancing, wagon rides and much more! Many Islands Campground is 24km Southeast of Worsley off highway 64.
