One of the largest pond hockey events in the world will take place on March 6-8, 2020 at beautiful Lac Cardinal Recreation Area in the MD of Peace in North Western Alberta. The Alberta Pond Hockey Championship is jam packed with all sorts of fun for everyone. Teams and fans travel from all over Canada and even internationally to attend the event. This year the divisions for the tournament are Recreation, Old Timers (35+), Women’s and Juniors. Like always the Junior teams play for free in the tournament. There is lots to do for the whole family. There will be scenic helicopter tours, a beer garden, delicious food from Mr. Mikes Casual Steak House, the Tim Hortons Cruiser will be serving up free hot beverages, music, ice sculptures, family rinks for ice skating, hockey games and ringette games. On Saturday of the event there will be a Gala Event at the Mile Zero Regional Multiplex featuring the band LumpSumm.
