1. Skating
Fairview Arena
The Fairview Arena is a great place to lace up your skates with family or friends. Well maintained by the Town of Fairview, the Fairplex offers public and family skating on Sundays from 6 – 7:50 pm. Located one block from downtown Fairview.
Fairview Outdoor Arena
Take a refreshing skate in the open air at the Town of Fairview Outdoor Arena. Located south of the Fairplex Arena and only a block from downtown Fairview, this great outdoor rink is a wonderful place to spend time with family and friends.
2. Sliding Hill
In the winter, tobogganing and sledding on the sliding hill at the Fairview Community Centre is a thrilling way to enjoy the winter and take advantage of the snow. The sliding hill is located 30 metres south of the Fairview Community Centre.
3. Cross Country Skiing
Cumming Lake Trail
Enjoy the peace and tranquillity of cross-country skiing while gliding on the snow at Cummings Lake Ski Trail, located three minutes north of the Town of Fairview. This conveniently located cross-country ski loop borders Cummings Lake with majestic winter views.
4. Downhill skiing and snowboarding
Fairview Ski Hill
The Fairview Ski Hill caters to all skiers and snowboarders with 15 runs that range from beginner to advanced. This family-friendly ski hill has 20,000 feet of groomed runs and is outfitted with four T-bar ski lifts and a cozy chalet with scenic winter views. Open Saturday and Sunday from 11-5 pm, Wednesday and Thursday from 6-9 pm, and on holidays and no-school days, they are open from 11 – 5 pm.

5. Fairview Community Centre
This gorgeous facility, the Fairview Community Centre, offers more than just aquatic fun — it also features a fitness centre and snowshoe rentals for a complete year-round activity experience. There’s nothing better than a winter swim and a soak in the hot tub to relax and rejuvenate. The centre boasts a five-lane, 25-metre lap pool, a wading pool, a 150-foot waterslide, a Tarzan rope, fountain canes, a rock wall, and a 20-person wheelchair-accessible hot tub.
Additionally, they provide plenty of options for public swimming, family/lane swims, and various aquatic programs, such as swimming lessons, Parent and Tots, Fit and 50, and the Olympians Swim Club. Conveniently located just off Highway #2 on the Northwestern Polytechnic Campus, the facility is a hub for fitness and fun, whether you’re diving into the water or strapping on snowshoes for an outdoor adventure.
