Girouxville Campground
This cozy full-service campsite and day-use area in the Village of Girouxville is a great place to pitch your tent or pull in the RV for a weekend while exploring this great little village. They have power hook-ups, treated tap water, horseshoe pits, picnic tables, fire pits and outdoor washrooms. The campground is open May to September (depending on the weather) with a camping fee of $20 per night (self-register). Located at 4820-52nd Avenue in Girouxville, and campers can use the dumping station at the Village Office.
Musée Girouxville Museum
Learn about the history of the Smoky River region, with over 6,000 artifacts depicting the history of pioneers and missionaries. In addition to their vast collection, including natural history, transportation, communications, education, photography, the fur trade and hunting, they have a second building that is home to some pretty cool antique automobiles like a fire truck and ambulance. Located on 5015-50th street, they are open May 1st to the end of August, Monday to Friday from 10 – 4 pm, and closed on holidays. Multi-Purpose Outdoor Facility
Gather your friends and family, and take your pick of activities to be enjoyed at this fantastic outdoor multi-purpose facility. Activities such as pickle ball, basketball, rollerblading, floor, ball hockey and skateboarding are commonly played and enjoyed here by all ages. Located at 5204-52 Avenue in Girouxville.
Girouxville Playground
The Girouxville Playground is a wonderful place to gather and play, with gorgeous green space and lots to explore and do. The littles will have hours of fun on the playground equipment, and for the soccer lovers out there, be sure to bring a ball; they’ve got soccer nets for your next match. Play or rest; they’ve got plenty of picnic tables and benches to sit and enjoy the day plus, they have a gazebo, a great place for a summertime picnic or to catch some shade. The playground is located at 5031-50th street.
Eat and Shop
While in Girouxville, there are a few options for a yummy meal, drink or snack. The Esquire Hotel & Lounge on 4903-50 street has some of the most amazing home-cooked food in the Peace Country, and you can grab some tasty snacks at the Bowling Alley or the Girouxville Coop’s Confectionary. The Girouxville Coop also has some decorative and seasonal items, and Every Now and Then is the place to shop for some unique antique and giftware items.
