Located in Peace River and open Sunday to Tuesday from 11 AM to 10 PM and Wednesday to Saturday from 11 AM to 11 PM.  The Pub is the go-to gathering spot in town. Known for its famous pub fare and a great selection of ales on tap, it blends a touch of Britain with Canadian charm. Pack up a picnic and head out to the Spruce Court Playground and plan on a fun and sunshine filled day of outdoor activity. The Little Tykes play equipment was installed in 2002 on a protective pea gravel surface, will appeal to children of 5 –12 years of age.

Get outside for some fun and active play at Baldwin Court Playground. Built by the Baldwin Court Playground Society in 2000, this Play World System equipment, built on a pea gravel surface, will provide entertainment for kids ages 5-12 years of age. Plenty of space to run and even enjoy a picnic.

Grab a picnic and plan on enjoying an afternoon at Riverside Playground. Built in 2013 this park features Elephant Play equipment built on a pea gravel surface. The rotating mid net and arch swing will provide 6-12- year-old kids with lots of excitement.

Slides, monkey bars and swings are just a few of the fun choices of Little Tykes play equipment at Shaftesbury Playground. This equipment was installed in 2019 on a pea gravel base. Lots of space to run and enjoy the fresh air. Bring snacks and enjoy the day.

Tucked into a quiet neighborhood, the Lower West Peace Playground is a welcoming spot for families, friends, and neighbors to gather. Built in 2005 on a pea gravel base, it features Romperland, Big Toys, and Kompan play equipment that keeps children ages 2–12 active and entertained. With plenty of open space to run, play games, or enjoy a picnic, it’s a favorite destination for families.

In the warmer months, the park also becomes a hub for recreation with 4 well-lit outdoor hard courts designed for pickleball. The courts are marked with permanent lines, and while players bring their own nets, there’s no charge to play—making it one of the most accessible pickleball spots in the Peace Region.

Climbing is the name of the game at this playground. The Xccent Play Large Cayton climber unit structure was installed in 2012 on a protective sand surface. Enjoy the beautiful view here on one of the handy benches or bring a picnic and stay a while.

A great day of fun is in store for visitors to the Spray Park and playground. Bring a swim suit, towel and a picnic. After an awesome play on the Little Tikes play equipment, cool off in the spray park. Re-energize with a snack and do it all over again.

Lots of trees, open space and fresh air are ready for visitors to enjoy at the Kinsmen Funland Playground. The Blue Imp play equipment was installed in 2013 on a protective surface of pea graveland offers a variety of play choices for kids ages 2 to 12 years.

This welcoming playground nestled amongst some beautiful large trees offers a space to enjoy a day of play. Climb, slide and run in this playground. The Little Tikes play equipment was installed in 2005 on a protective surface of pea gravel and offers activities to kids that are 2 to 5 years of age.

Beat the heat and enjoy the summer weather at the Town of Peace River’s Spray Park. Cool off in the parks  unexpected water spouts, cannon streams, flower showers, and more. Pack a picnic because the kiddos are not going to want to leave the park.

Race, leap, laugh and play at the Baldwin Court Playground. The Play World System installed in 2000 on a pea gravel base offers many appealing choices to kids of 5 to 12 years of age.

The Town of Peace River offers 17km of paved walking trails and 80.9 hectares of nicely mowed green space just waiting to be enjoyed. Grab your bike, run, jog or walk and enjoy these scenic and well-maintained areas. Summer months offer five fastball/slo-pitch diamonds, two baseball diamonds, two soccer pitches, two football fields, two tennis courts, 4 pickleball courts, 13 playgrounds, two larger parks (12 Foot Davis and Riverfront Park), as well as an off-leash dog park. The winter months offer an excellent opportunity to enjoy two sliding hills, five outdoor hockey rinks and two skating areas

Enjoy the winter season in the Peace Region. Grab some skates and head out to one of the six outdoor neighbourhood ice rinks that the Town of Peace River operates.

Whether you’re beginning or ending your river journey or just stopping in for a rest and a picnic, the Town of Peace River offers two handy boat launches. The Lower West Peace Launch is found on the west side of the Peace River just off of Shaftesbury Trail in the lower west region of the town.  The launch typically has porta potties and a floating dock installed by the Peace River Boating Association. The North End Launch is located in the north end of town, on the east side of the river, just off of 84th Avenue. Both boat launches are gravel with some parking on site. Boaters enjoy a stunning view of the bridges and the town of Peace River as they move along this historic waterway.  

Board ‘n’ Barrel Restaurant & Patio located on the picturesque Peace River is a foodie destination hot spot. Concentrating on a flavour forward locally sourced menu with in-house made foods that rival the “big city” dining options. We specialize in shareable charcuterie boards and small plate items plus menu items like house made flatbreads, Superfood salads,  fresh made pastas, duck breast, spring lamb, AAA Alberta steaks and burgers that will amaze your tastebuds. Peace River Brewing was opened in March 2018 by a local couple that began the business as a hobby. It has now expanded into a family friendly taproom, serving craft beer, light snacks and house made kombucha. Sit in for a pint, fill growlers, purchase cans to go or check out their swag wall filled with PRB merch! A chill atmosphere and laid back vibe makes this brewery a locals hang out and visitor destination.

The Misery Mountain Trails offer natural trails to elevations that offer a wonderful view of the Peace River Valley and the west side of the community. To access the natural trail network, you can park at the trailhead just off 99^th Ave behind the Westridge Condominiums.

This area is amazing for hiking and mountain biking. The views are worth the elevation gain!
