If you don’t feel like fishing, you can enjoy the day on your motorized boat, canoe, paddleboard or kayak. Nestled in pristine backcountry, the peace and tranquillity experienced here are second to none. They also have eight unserviced camping sites, firepits, picnic tables, a hiking trail and excellent cell phone service if you need to stay connected.
Get there: Take Highway 743 north to highway 986, turn left onto Township Road 871A. Haig Lake is approximately 1.5 hours northeast of Peace River.
