A breathtaking lookout over the Town of Peace River in honor of Henry Fuller Davis, a trader on the Peace River who literally struck gold on a 12 foot claim in the 1860s. The park features include pathways, landscaping, interpretive panels, picnic benches and parking. This is a great viewpoint and photography spot.
Getting There:
Once in the Town of Peace River take Highway 2 South heading up the East Hill. Once at the top of the hill take a left onto Sunrise Road and immediately turn left on Fairgrounds Road. Travel for approximately 1 kilometre, look for signage and turn left on Twelve Foot Davis Road. This road will lead to the gravesite.

The Sagitawa Lookout is located just south of the Town of Peace River on Hwy 744 in Northern Sunrise County. Sagitawa is a Cree word meaning “Where the rivers meet”. The Lookout has a spectacular view of the Town of Peace River and the confluence of the Peace, Smoky and Heart rivers. The Lookout is complete with picnic area and historical information.
Directions from Main Street Peace River:
Drive down Main Street ( 100 Street) to the bottom of Main, then turn left onto 102 Avenue. Follow this to 102 Avenue, turn right and cross the Heart River bridge. Turn left onto 104 Avenue and follow the Hwy 744 signs. The Lookout is located up the “Judah Hill”. Watch for lookout signage.

Learn about local industries, about farming, about traditional ways as we guide you through the indoor and outdoor exhibits and buildings. With displays on two floors open year round and outdoor exhibits accessible from May to September, the Nampa and District Museum is more than worth a gander.

Rendez-Vous RV Park is a fully-serviced year-round park located just a few minutes east of Peace River off the junction of highway 2 and 688, offering 30 or 50 amp power in our 57 pull through and 50 spacious back-in stalls. We pride ourselves in our clean restrooms/showers as well as our new coin-operated laundry facility that is open 24/7 for your convenience. All stalls include picnic tables and complimentary Wi-Fi. As well a variety of our back in stalls have fire pits. We offer daily, weekly or monthly rates and are a pet-friendly facility. Our office also features a convenience store with an ever-growing inventory of U-Haul supplies, groceries, ICE CREAM, firewood, propane and items for your RV.
Rendez-Vous RV Park is located adjacent to Cecil Thompson Park, which offers a fishing pond, playground, walking trails, outdoor exercise equipment, and let’s not forget a giant bouncy pillow.

It can be difficult to stay focused on the game when your surroundings are so stunning, but the Heart River Golf Course offers plenty of challenging play to keep you into the game. This golf course is a challenging nine hole course located on the scenic Heart River just East of Nampa. Features a driving range, pro shop and clubhouse. There is one of the best patios in the Mighty Peace overlooking the beautiful golf course’s lush greens and majestic scenery.
Looking to stay and play?
You can stay at the Lions campground just below the first tee box. A perfect place to stay on tournament weekends, or just to relax with friends. Surrounded by trees and wildlife, their camp ground makes a wonderful retreat. The Campground has 13 serviced lots with power, water, fire pits and picnic tables. There is a wood bin close by and firewood is included. All of the sites are cosily nestled into the trees to maximize privacy for our campers.
