This calm and beautiful lake is ideal for kayakers, canoers, and paddle boarders to enjoy some fun on the water. The lake is stocked with rainbow trout each spring providing some great year-round fishing. If you’re looking for the perfect venue for a special event, consider booking the beautiful log hall that can accommodate up to 75 people. The surrounding grounds have been planted with various fruit trees and provide abundant and picturesque spaces for activities and fun. Entertaining events hosted here each year include a fishing derby and a music festival. This is also a great spot to visit in the winter months to enjoy some ice fishing. Firepits are available near the lake to warm up and cook a tasty campfire snack!
Kakut Lake is located in beautiful Birch Hills County, southwest of Wanham. Head south from Wanham on Highway 733 for 14km then turn west onto Highway 677 and travel 9km and then turn north onto Range Road 42A.
